Display date instead of day beside d time on d menu/tool bar

hi. id like 2 know if theres a way 2 display d date instead of d day beside d time on d menu/tool bar on d upper-right corner of d screen. is there an app/util that can do that? tnx in advance.

What version of OSX are you using?

It doesn't work on my MBP under 10.4.8

make sure and pay attention to the part about showing short/medium/long as that makes a difference.

took me a second to figure out but it worked out perfect. thank you I can now get rid of my widget as well
